Gems are HelloHRMS performance currency — green, yellow, silver, and black gems can affect payroll and employee wallet balances.
Configure under Settings → Gems (gems.php) with tabs: Configuration, Gem Rules, Review Questions.

Set gem rupee values
Configuration tab — enter rupee equivalent for each gem color. These convert gems to salary adjustments during payroll when Gems Calculation is enabled on the company.

Enable payroll gems calculation
Toggle Gems Calculation ON if attendance-based gem penalties/bonuses should flow into monthly payroll automatically.

Define attendance gem rules
Gem Rules tab — set minutes thresholds for late/early warnings vs deductions. Configure black gems per late/very late/early leave and silver gems for overtime/monthly caps.

Set up task review questions
Review Questions tab — add questions employees answer when submitting project tasks. Managers see answers during approval.

Employee wallet
Employees view gem balance in Wallet. Paid payroll can transfer earned gems to wallet for redemption tracking.
