Getting started with Projects & Tasks

Create projects, assign tasks, and approve completed work.

Projects module helps HR and managers track deliverables, deadlines, and task-based gem rewards.

Access via sidebar Projects (projects.php) with two tabs: Projects and Tasks.

  1. Create a project
    Projects tab → Add Project. Enter title, budget/amount (optional), deadline, and assign team members. Status starts open — update as work progresses.
  2. Add tasks inside the project
    Open the project → add tasks with descriptions and assignees. Each task moves through Pending → Started → Submitted → Approved.
  3. Employees work on tasks
    Assignees see tasks on their employee portal. They mark Started when working and Submit for Review when done, optionally answering review questions.
  4. Review submitted tasks
    HR/manager opens Projects → Tasks tab. For Submitted tasks, rate quality, add comments, approve or reject. Approved tasks can award yellow gems per company rules.
  5. Bulk actions
    On Projects tab, select multiple projects to mark complete or delete. Use filters by month/title for large portfolios.
